Camila Pinheiro smashes it

Camila’s been covering the court and covering a book with these two projects for Bille Jean King and Little, Brown.

"It is an honor to collaborate for the second time with the tennis legend, having previously created the US Open poster in 2023 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of equal prize money in tennis and Billie Jean King’s incredible contributions to advancing equity.

In addition, it was also great to work for something I truly believe in, such as women's sports. I had complete creative freedom so I could immerse myself on the brand for create something not only visually appealing but meaningful. My idea was the artwork to be a visual reminder of the progress in women’s sports and to represent the bright future ahead.

The artwork is showcased on posters and signage throughout the matches and also featured on merchandise, so my idea was to bring  not only the spirit of the Billie Jean King Cup but the incredible legacy of Billie Jean King herself. We wanted to do something  simple but meaningful. An image that could represents Bllie broaden the Women’s tennis."

"I had so much fun doing this illustrations for this book, Retirement plan . The publishing team was great as they knew how to communicate exactly what they wanted, so we were on the same page from the beginning. The result was wonderful, the whole team were very happy with the result. It's a book that I'm sure will be a success, in addition to having the possibility of becoming a TV series. Which would be great."
