Elen Winata collab with AWS

The project - titled Global Refractions 2025 - was commissioned by AWS (Amazon Web Services) via brand activation agency Pico as part of the entrance for their new Innovation Hub in Singapore. The artworks visualise AWS' innovation and presence in Asia, with each crystal glass roundel representing a unique country with a brief that allowed Elen an abundance of creative freedom.

"In this installation, crystal lenses flow across the space, each one celebrating innovation from across Asia Pacific and Japan. Within every crystalline form, a carefully illustrated symbol represents the diverse voices and vibrant communities that make up our region. Together, these symbols form a constellation of connections, reflecting how ideas and breakthroughs transcend borders to converge at this innovation hub.

 

The fluid arrangement suggests a river of innovation—an endless flow of ideas, collaboration, and technological advancement. As natural light refracts through the installation into prismatic displays, it paints the space with ever-changing colours, symbolising a place where possibilities multiply and transformation is constant.

Glass and crystal were chosen as the primary medium for their strength and transparency. Their clarity suggests the pure potential of ideas, while their crystalline structure echoes the robust frameworks that support our collective vision."
