Whooli Chen x Origins Taiwan

Every so often one of our artists delivers a campaign that we just can’t stop looking at. Enchanting, enthralling, enrapturing, this masterclass of freshness, subtlety and grace from Whooli Chen for beauty brand Origins positively glows.

Origins had three KV's in mind, each design was to celebrate different hero ingredients like ginseng, Swiss apples, Reishi mushrooms, Anogeissus Flowers and ginger, according to the product that was featured. 

Whooli explains: "There were three designs in total, it was a fun and interesting theme to work on. I really enjoy drawing plants, and ginseng has such a unique shape. Finding a way to turn its unusual form into a lantern design was both challenging and enjoyable.”

In this insight into her methodology she walks us through one of the executions from it's delicate embryonic pencil phase through the gentle layering of colour and light towards the final execution.
