Alchemy x Take That!

Alchemy were delighted to be involved in the recent 3 part Take That documentary that aired on Netflix, providing a whole host of graphic sequences to help the director David Soutar chart the rise and fall (and rise again!) of Britains biggest boyband.

With access to new audio from Gary, Mark and Howard (as well as archive footage of Jason and Robbie) and access to a plethora of personal imagery and documents collated by the band, the creative team wanted the ability to tell stories from the past without always reverting to archive or talking heads.

Alchemy therefore created a deeply immersive and eclectic visual world to bring to life key moments from the band's history. Stylistically they let the visuals evolve as the time period changed, starting off in an early 90’s inspired world of fanzines, through to the tabloid inspired late 90’s and evolving finally to grown up mens quarterly publications as the band matured from ‘boy band’ to ‘man band.’
