Alchemy’s Andrew Milner fills us in on a dream commission for any sport-loving motion team as they built up some animated momentum ahead of Super Bowl 2025.
"Sporting events don’t get any bigger than the Super Bowl, so being briefed on an animation to get UK NFL fans excited about the big game in New Orleans was an incredibly exciting brief to receive.
After some early development work testing out different styles and approaches we received an edit from the client with just 2 weeks until the big day. With a 60 second video to create, multiple cutdowns and different formats needing to be delivered it was a case of getting our heads down and pushing hard that first week.
We were supplied with a Super Bowl LIX brand book by the client and so we were able to utilise colours, textures and fonts from that but the team then developed all of that for use in motion, creating overlays, 3D cut scenes and employing all manner of motion tricks to bring the edit to life.
We’re super proud of the final film and think it’s a great example of how motion graphics can be utilised to elevate existing footage and create a stand out piece of content."
