David De Las Heras x Spanish Grand Prix

Barcelona has been in the news recently with Gaudí’s epic Sagrada Familia just about complete and there she is in the background of this unusually pacy painting from David whose work is typically so subliminally calm.

David enjoyed changing gear as he says here: "The Circuit de Catalunya, in collaboration with the agency Evil Love, commissioned me to design the poster for the 2026 Barcelona-Catalunya F1 Grand Prix. This year, they wanted a poster that evoked those vintage Grand Prix posters, such as those from Monaco, which featured a more pictorial style. They also wanted to capture that Mediterranean light, featuring Barcelona’s major landmarks such as the Sagrada Familia and its beaches, with the Hotel Vela in the background.”
